Now that the dust has settled and the rallies are behind us, I will say a farewell from JPost...

"Dear reader", oops, there may be more than one reader.. so "dear readers",

Way back I was invited to write stories to be  posted as blogs here at Jpost, ..and I did just that.

I continue to write a series of assorted stories, on various subjects and topics, at different weather seasons... and I never write about politics and religion, and never being nasty or insulting.

I am happy that so many readers responded with kind words and clever comments, and emails sent to me, and many also mentioning the pictures that showed them a place, or a thing, or people or whatever.

The very best feedback that I learnt, is that a few people visited Israel as a direct result of reading my stories..  and although I wasnt able to meet them all, I was with them as they travelled, as I know they are with me as I continue MY scootering.

I have been told it is time for me to "move along", and there will be no more new stories here at jpost.

ALL my stories (up until now).. will still be available to be read..here at Jpost.

ALL the stories I've written will be in a section called "PAST BLOGS" ...

AND a link will be provided to an internet magazine (Epinions.com) where LOUIS THE SCOOTERER will continue writing, with my current, and NEW stories.

SO, I hope you will still read me as I also want to read you.

Certainly I will still be scootering to every, and  many new places, here in Israel, and will continue to report about my rides, and other experiences.

Please continue staying in touch at email louisdrinkingt@013.net  and I will always reply to stay in touch.

So I will quietly scoot away from the JPost and ride into the sunset..(pic of sunset)

AND If I should ever be invited to return, I will make a U-TURN and ride back into the sunrise.

So again I remind you to please carry on reading me and send me emails. I will always reply....bye.!

Hi Lou, I was wondering where your next installment was. I was going to email you to see if you were ok. Well, sometimes the chapter of the book comes to an end. But it's not the end of the book. I have enjoyed your blog and I will look for you at the new place. Stay upright on your scooter and perhaps someday we will meet face to face. Earl

Earl in Burns hi, You are one of those who has followed me from way back, and often follow up with a nice comment, and encouragement... and emails. I guess the next section of "the scooterer book" will begin now..you too take care as the bad drivers give birth to new bad drivers. Thanks, and surely we will meet sometime. Lou.

Hi Lou, I have read your blog since you first started "Scootering" around Israel. I have enjoyed your quirky humor, your sense of adventure, your enthusiasim for all you encounter..and most important, your love of the country, its people and places. There is NO DOUBT in my mind, that wherever you continue to "Scooter", observe and write, you will have a faithful and loyal audience. Wherever the road may take you, be safe, have fun and stay curious...All the best to you, Eli Freedman

Louis, it was a great run! Very much enjoyed your blogs and think J-Post should reconsider letting you go. I am coming to Israel as soon as I can and plan on hooking up with you. You were a bright spot on J-Post as I smiled when reading your stories rather than cried reading of the horrific politics and mess the current admin. has made of Israel. Good luck and keep chugging, but watch out for traffic. Bob

Hi, Lou. I'm sorry you are leaving jpost but will follow you over to epinions. My son lives in Israel and reading jpost (the other Israeli newspapers in English are even worse) you would think Israel is a terrible place to live, full of bad people and with nothing but insurmountable problems. I know that is not true, and your blog reminded me of that truth over and over. You kept my spirits up where others wanted to tear them down. You gave us a wonderful view of everyday life and real people, so thank you and best wishes! And keep up the good work! I'll be reading it.

Lou, it's a pity that the powers that be in the Jerusalem Post see no further value from your blog to many loyal readers around the world. The Australian motorcycle group that visited Israel recently was very glad to have met you and had some brief time together. We will keep in touch regardless and hope your scooter epics will continue through some other forum. Sam Blumenstein Melbourne, Australia

As usual I love the pic's. There's always something new in each one. Your stories and pictures bring so much of Israel alive so I hope you "do" keep writing and scooting along! :) Dusty

Reply to #17..Barbara USA...I tried to be "bright n lively" with my stories, BUT sometimes when writing about bad drivers and smokers I needed to be negative ..BUT truthful. Still.. every place I visit and every new person I meet give me something to smile about..and will continue looking for that. Thanks for you compliments and comment. Lou.

Reply to #18 Sam Blumenstein...Lets remember that I met you and OZ motorcyclists as a direct result from JPost story..so they have done many good valuable "things". If they find it necessary for me to move along ?..maybe they steer me to something better ??..and I say again..I will make a U-TURN if its meant to be. Also dont forget that on your future visit we should drive around in a rented car during the rain season, and I can show you what you have not yet seen. Thanks and of course we will stay in touch. Lou.

Reply to Dusty, Tennessee #20. It was a pleasure teaching you some Hebrew words via emails. Someone slipped up and placed only 3 pics instead of 10.. in this farewell story..the other 7 also showed places and different clothes for different weather. Todah ve lehitra'ot. Lou.
