Rosner's Domain: Why Israelis are generally thrilled by Clinton's appointmentPosted by SHMUEL ROSNER
Comments: 16
Celebrating Hillary Clinton's appointment (expected Monday, US time) I looked into the Israel Factor archive, and dug up some numbers. It is a survey from September 2007, just a year ago - but what a year! Back then, Clinton was still considered the leading Democratic contender (and probably the leading candidate to be the next president). So: we asked, and the Israel Factor panel have responded. In the question below, we gave the panel a list of Clinton campaign-statements and asked the panelists to rank them between 1 (this makes her a lousy candidate) and 5 (this makes her a great candidate). Now you can see why Israelis are generally thrilled by her appointment. The most important question - to which we will have an answer soon enough - is the last one (it's not a statement but rather my question to the panelists):

This is small solace. Look at Obama's team. He has just appointed Susan Rice to be the U.S. representative at the U.N. She will not be happy putting her hand up to veto anti- Israel resolutions. James Jones wants to get Israeli troops out of Judea and Samaria, and replace them with NATO troops. Robert Gates and his buddy General Mullen Chairman of the Joint Chiefs will not give Israel a green- light to overfly Iraq on the way to Iran.
So what do you have? Hillary who is for the disastrous accord Barak cooked up with Clinton and Arafat rejected?

Thrilled?????????? I am disgusted. Clinton, Rabin, Sharon and all Israeli leftists are responsible for hundreds and hundreds of dead Israelis.

That was the wrong question,
When Obama was asked today about the change he promissed, he said he believes in a diversity of opinions, but that CHANGE WILL COME FROM ME.
After getting flak about his choices, Obama made it clear, that he hired Clinton, Gates, to bring a diversity of opinion.
So Rosner, you need to open your eyes. Clinton wont have say, and if Obama is in total disagreement with her she will have to defer.

The foreign team announced by Obama is fraught with dangers to Israel. Hope Netanyahu will be next PM because a strong leader is absolutely necessary.

When Clinton was first-lady (and taking all those 3 am phone calls, i guess) she was busy kissing up to Arafat and Suha. Then, she decided that she wanted to be Senator of New York, so she kissed up to Israel. Now that she is Secretary of State, we will see a new level of kissing up. Hey, whatever it takes to further her career, right?

While all this is well and good you ought to pay attention to the Judean and Samarian Commanders who have clearly demonstrated, by their petition, that their soliders have no intention to continue to defend, with their lives, an outright land grab.

Hey Shel. Clinton was the best friend Israel has ever had in the White House. Atleast he admitted to the world in publication that Arafat had betrayed him and deceived him.

To those Israelis who believe that Clinton is "good" for Israel: I can only say you are ignorant and/or
delusional! Clinton is a "pathological liar" - that every word that come out of her mouth is measured for it's political impact. The "TRUTH BE DAMNED"! Is her standard. Her future is all that matters, and
she'll say anything that promotes her "agenda", which is her personal power and financial gain.
Conclusion: She is the most VILE person with NO MORAL VALUES or concern for others.

Clinton is the proof that Obama's ''change'' is only a nice word, it doesn't imply any action to bring about that change. Hillary Clinton is a puppet of the Democratic party establishment and of Big Money. She was one of the only Democrats to vote for the Iraq war. At least they put her somewhere where she cannot do much harm, just as Condoleeza Rice was only a face they put there to content women and minorities. Anyway, once the US people realizes how they've been lied to and been manipulated by the same old parties governed by the same old - royal - families, since the 50s, trouble will come.

When it comes to politicians, actions speak louder than words. Hillary has had big words, particularly about Iran, but she is not the President.

Clinton..
The constitutional quandary arises from a clause that forbids members of the Senate from being appointed to civil office, such as the secretary of state, if the "emoluments," or salary and benefits, of the office were increased during the senator's term.
The second clause of Article 1, Section 6, of the Constitution reads, "No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been increased during such time; and no Person holding any Office under the United States, shall be a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office."

Obamas new UN Ambassador Susan Rice will fit in perfectly at the United Nations because she and the international organization are both rabidly anti-Israel. Of course, most of Obamas foreign policy advisers are in the tank for the Palestinian cause.
Gateway Pundit reports that Susan Rice was also involved in allowing Osama bin Laden to escape from the Sudan during the Clinton years:

I am from the great State of New York, and I know my Senator, the former first Lady of the United States. She is an honest, hard-working, decent human being who believes in equality for everyone. She will advance the goodness of America as Secretary of State. I am a regular visitor to jpost.com and was disgusted by the comments posted for this article. Those who pretend to know or think that Mrs. Clinton will be bad for Israel are sadly mistaken or just stupid. Mrs. Clinton recognizes the importance of Israel and would never do anything to harm or insult its people. Best wshes.

You are pleased with Hillary because she sounds like a conservative when it comes to defense issues.
Only trouble is that you cant believe what she says. She is prone to lie when it suits her agenda. A true conservative is always a friend to a strong free independent Israel. Why then do the Jews vote for a Liberal Agenda?
When push comes to shove who will really support Isreal?
15 | rose ettelman in Israel, Tuesday Dec 02, 2008
I was once a rabid liberal but I outgrew it once I got out of college! I am now conservative and like many Republicans better than any Clinton.because they are Israel's true friends.
16 | David USA, Tuesday Dec 02, 2008
WHO CARES WHAT CLINTON BELIEVES? SHE HAS TO DO WHAT OBAMA TELLS HER TO DO & THATS WHO YOU HAVE TO BE CONCERNED WITH. I'M A CONSERVATIVE BUT I AM ALSO GOING TO GIVE OBAMA A CHANCE TO PROVE HIMSELF. I DON'T HAVE MUCH HOPE BUT I AM OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW ANYONE CAN SURPRISE YOU, LOOK WHAT SHARON DID, HE GAVE AWAY PARTS OF ISRAEL SOMETHING I THOUGHT HE WOULD NEVER DO. WHEN DEALING W/ POLITICIANS YOU MIGHT AS WELL JUST THROW DICE, YOUR CHANCES OF COMING OUT AHEAD ARE BETTER.
