Why Sarah Palin said that "more and more Jewish people will be flocking to Israel in the days and weeks and months ahead.". Pundits - as Max Fisher remarks - "are scratching their heads wondering what she meant".

Frank Rich had written that "It was unclear what she was talking about - unless it was the 'rapture' theology that requires the mass return of Jews to settle the Holy Land as a precondition for the return of Christ". And Yglesias seems to agree with this theory - it's about doomsday beliefs:

I don't want to make too big a deal about this, but given the tendency of U.S. politicians to avowedly claim religious grounding for their political beliefs I do think somewhat more scrutiny needs to be given to the issue of the extent to which evangelical figures are letting their policy views be driven by apocalyptic scenarios. John Hagee of Christians United for Israel, for example, supports preventive military strikes on Iran that he believes will lead to Israel’s destruction at the hands of a Russo-Arab alliance.

Palin's meeting with Billy Graham added some fuel to this fire. Here's Spencer Ackerman:

Since worldwide Jewry is unaware of such an imminent threat that would prompt mass immigration to Israel - and certainly not immigration specific to the West Bank - that sounded like some kind of dogwhistle to Christian Zionists, a cohort that promotes unconditional American support to Israel in order to bring about the end of the world and the return of Jesus Christ to earth. Not, in other words, something particularly high on the Jewish or Israeli agendas, but Christian Zionists represent a pretty sizable bloc within the Republican coalition and could, say, help someone win a presidential nomination were someone so inclined.

Writing in Beliefnet Rod Dreher offers this:

[Palin's views] is great news if you are one of the Protestants who do hold these beliefs. But if you are not, then you should be alarmed. I admit that I think Evangelicals get a bad rap from liberal Jews, many of whom are so repulsed by the Evangelicals' political and social conservatism that they unfairly and unwisely devalue the value of their Zionism. But supporting the settlements policy because there has to be room for all the Jews in the world to come home to Israel in advance of Armageddon? Astonishing. Again, though, if you are convinced that we're in the Last Days, and history's end game will involve this particular set of events, then you thank God that the U.S. might be led by A President Who Gets It.

Bottom line: since not many Jewish people will be "flocking to Israel" in the coming days, Palin's peace plan can be put aside for a while. Thus, all "shocked and dismayed" responses are somewhat overstated (Andrew Sullivan, as usual, presents the most blatant example of such overstated outrage with his "The only thing worse than the pathological anti-Semitism of the Islamists is the pathological philo-Semitism of the Christianists that ends with the real elimination of Jewish people from the face of the earth").

Xians maybe over anxious to help Jews and Israel. Shoa in our conscience too, never want US to abandon Israel. Want to see God's Spirit dominate Israel, open eyes to truth. Israel will need faith to survive in anyones scenario. God's spirit on dry bones. Forgive us if pray for peace of Jerusalem, and you are correct can't shape US policy on partly understood prophecy.Let's agree God in charge, and seek his good will for all as brothers. God doesn't need US help to save Israel, but X'ians want to help.

Hagee's view of the near-future is quite similar to A-jad's. One wants Israel destroyed because he loves Israel, the other wants Israel destroyed because he hates Israel. With friends like Hagee, who needs enemies? Back to Sarah Palin. Seems like with all the potential choices for President, Americans are hung up on either a left-wing ideologue from Hawaii, or a moose huntin', right-wing ideologue from Alaska. What happened to the 48 continental states? Get back to bland. How about a centrist from Kansas?
3  |  molly-glasgow, Tuesday Nov 24, 2009
#2 your absolutely wrong mike about pastor hagee. He totally believes in God keeping Israel safe from all it's enemies. He's a great friend of your prime minister netanyahu and a lot of your rabbis. He was preaching about all nations {Islamic] coming against your beautiful land and God's fury at those nations, and how he destroys those nations and leaves only a 6th of them.YOu read what the jewish prophet Ezekiel says about it son and dont believe what those people say.Now go to ezekiel 38 and 39.
4  |  Mike Feldman, Canada, Tuesday Nov 24, 2009
#3 Molly. You're the last person I want to argue with. However, for me, it is difficult to discount what is said of Hagee's current views only to find out what he really means in Ezekiel..The "end of days" scenerio may not lead to the total desruction of Israel, but who can say how many fatalities would satisfy the Bibllical interpretation of G-d's "protection" of Israel? You are one who leaves everything in G-ds hands, I'm more inclined to believe that man has been equiped to determine his own fate. As long as I have your blessing, I'll feel safer.

The Christian evangelicals may claim to be supporters of Israel. But we need to ask ourselves: do they really respect us? Their actions are driven by their misguided belief that the return of Jesus would be an opportunity to indulge in religious conversions. Friends like these are worse than enemies.
6  |  Daran, UK, Tuesday Nov 24, 2009
is Molly unaware of how close people like Hagee's "end times" theology is to the "islamic" one, Gog and magog, Jesus coming back to rule, antichrist/dajjal, mass conversions of jews or slaying of them. The aid offered by these people needed to be accepted however in the end their commitment to Israel is to an xian ideal of what "israel" is, not to Jews or secular state. As a non believer I find these sorts of passages reinforce why religious ideals are dangerous, idea that an all powerful god need do this to "prove I am the lord god" seems only fit for the 6th century BCE
7  |  David in Ottawa, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
I can't really blame Jewish organizations for taking the money. If a bunch of Jewish religious loons came to my house and offered me a big fat cheque to renovate my basement on the grounds that doing so would hasten the coming of the Messiah.... well, I'd probably take that cheque.
8  |  Hanoi Paris Hilton, Chicago exurbs, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
Palin is neither an idiot nor a knuckle-dragging Christer yahoo breathlessly awaiting the rapture, Maybe she's jumping the gun a bit, but anybody who follows what's coming down in the UK, for example (see the CiF/Grauniad threads, or the university teachers' and journanlists' unions antics); or a bit more subduedly, for the moment, in the USA (see an appalling percentage of threads in the WP and the NYT, and the credibility given Means-Waltheimer), would think it likely that many, many diaspora Jews would soon be bailing out and making aliyah. This discounts our astonishing denialism.
9  |  Terry - Eilat, Israel, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
Making mountains out of molehills. I'm not much of a Palin supporter but much reporting on her is unfair, seemingly, few can stand the idea of a Washington beltway outsider being popular. This is just snobbism - supposedly, only Harvard or Yale or whatever graduates with the ''right'' social credentials can aspire to high political office. When you objectively look at the mess these ''experts'' have made historically, we could do worse than have an average, normal person in charge. And of course, a religious Christian is just out of the question, they might have morals, how unmodern.
10  |  Rooster Cogburn, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
It will be the Jewish Messiah, not the Islamic one, and not the Xtian one, but those Xtians who support Israel will be among those who are saved, regardless of misinterpretation of the Bible by either Xtians or liberal Jews. All these will be saved from destruction. As for the Moslems, those who mind their own business will continue to be able to do so, and those who don't, will join the perverts of Hollywood in a final baccanal of destruction. Coming soon to a theatre near you, along with an earthquake.
11  |  john, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
Any time a high profile "conservative" GOP leader, who also happens to be evangelical, comes out in strong support for Israel, the rabid misguided Israel-hating leftist appeasers always trot out this false "end of the world" narrative against Christian conservatives who support Israel. Michael Yglesias did this before when Huckabee came to Israel to show support and solidarity in the face of pressure from Obama. I would encourage the readers to google Erick Stakelbeck's article entitled "Slandering Christiian Zionists".
12  |  DavidM, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
At a time when universities and leftist churches routinely urge boycotts of Israel and when the UN envoy Richard Goldstone travels the world calling for prosecution of IDF soldiers we should be glad that someone of former Governor Palin's stature will stand up for Israel. She has done the right thing and stood up to the op ed writers of the New York Times who regularly ridicule public figures who support Israel like Governor Palin and Senator Joe Lieberman.
13  |  nada redd, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
when you quote frank rich, you blow what little cover you have, rddb. you currently support a friend of lois farrakhan, rev wright, and rashid khalili.that is barack hussein obama. palin will not be president, but she can help support the survival of israel, unlike obama.
14  |  The other Bob USA, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
# 9 Terry - Eilat "a religious Christian is just out of the question, they might have morals". Absolutely true. Read # 10 Rooster Cogburn and you'll see why. People with such intolerant judgemental views should never have political power. And, your charactorization of Washington is way off base. Its not an elitist Ivy League boys club. Palin isn't rejected because of education, economic, social, or religious background. She's been rejected because she proved to be a liability and an embarrassment to the McCain campaign. And, that's the Republican opinion.
15  |  Amnon, the Great AMERICAN Southwest, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
Honestly I wouldn't give two cents to what Jews-in-Name-Only and Low Life Scum like Frank Reich as in Third Reich aka Rich or the J Street goosestepper Yglesias say. They're the kind who'd moral equate Israel with Hamas just like little BonZo, REAL Brownshirts like Brian Baird, Hamas's chief U.S. cheerleader in Congress, and the JINO Dems do every day. In fact the Reichs aka Richs and Yglesiases of the world aren't fit to shine Rev. Hagee's Cowboy Boots. They're too busy licking BonZo's furry paws for that.
16  |  Amnon, the Great AMERICAN Southwest, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
Does anyone know what Spencer Ackerman is like? He's nuttier than a fruitcake. Imagine a grown Jewish man with a penchant for Comic Books and Goth music...no wonder why he expresses support and hangs out with those who love Hamas or express their hate of Palin while they give a pass to the pew-sitting little boy. Why are you, Rosner, even giving the time of day to such a mental midget moron?
17  |  Mike Feldman, Canada, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
I agree with #13. Sarah Palin is a media phenomena much as was Barak Obama. Difference is Obama had the mainstream left of center media in the tank, and he got elected. I believe Sarah Palin's goal at this time is to cash in on her public personna as former V-P candidate and expend the boundless energy she has on making money for her family. Ultimately she could become another Rush Limbaugh and host a conservative TV show. I think she'll be very effective in fund raising for the GOP, but is not a serious contender for the Presidential nomination. If she grows, she could be taken seriously in 2016.
18  |  John S. Hancock, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
Sarah Palin's approach regarding settlements would overturn forty years of "official" United States policy against such an enterprise on occupied land in the West Bank. However, unofficially, the American Government has given the thieves the keys to the West Bank. They've taken no action over forty years toward stoppoing the settlement project which is a continuing act of terrorism. Why were rockets being fired from Gaza, one, obvious, reason is because of the ongoing land theft in the West Bank.
19  |  Marion, Mission, BC, Canada, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
I think you may have misunderstood Sarah`s intention. The rise of anti-semitism world wide is alarming for anyone who cares for Israel (even Christians)! Many are beginning to think that Israel may soon become one of the only safe places left for Jews to live. I hope that this perception is wrong, but please forgive us for caring.
20  |  Terry - Eilat, Israel, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
#14 The other Bob. I think McCain proved to be a liability to his own campaign. While I certainly respect Mr McCain, he was a lack-luster campaigner. I also think that the professionals who ran the campaign didn't care much for Palin & actually did quite a bit of harm to her image. In any case, much of the Republican leadership is part of the problem, not the solution, to the problems facing America. I'm not a social conservative which is why I would prefer a different conservative candidate than Palin but she should be judged fairly & objectively.
21  |  Mike Feldman, Canada, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
#20. Terry. Its a good thing that the Rebublicans gave McCain the nomination, because it was highly unlikey that any Rebublican was going to win the White House. He had his shot at the Presidency and returned to the Senate as a respected long-term voice of his party. Other candidates who have a real chance in 2012 were not stigmatized with the loss. Personally, I think McCain's time was 8 years before, but it was not to be.
22  |  Dave Gilkrist, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
I firmly believe that Christians and those who believe in Biblical prophesy and who accept God's view on future events wish to bless Jerusalem, pray for its peace and offer comfort in any practical way we can. There is a generally agreed understanding that Jesus was rejected 2000 years ago as the hoped for Messiah because he did not fulfull the expectations of the Jews AT THAT TIME to throw off the shackles of Roman domination but many did believe in what he said about himself. It Israel can not accept Christian love and compassion now, from whom do they expect to receive support?
23  |  Edward, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
Palin like Obama is a bird brain. Irrespective of party affiliations, they need to be grouped together as two people as unqualified to be President. Unofortunately Obama is in office right now. He certainly needs to be replaced at the end of his term, but not by Palin. Analyzing the random thoughts of an uneducated bird brain are not worth the pixels they occupy.
24  |  Jon, San Diego, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
Palin knows that the Jewish messiah is coming and she wants to witness it. She also knows that Israel will continue to exist while other nations will perish. She wants to head the revolution and turn the bad fortunes Israel has experienced with this president that sat in a church for 20 years and listened to an anti-semitic reverend and an Israel hater.
25  |  Cry, USA, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
Bottom line. Whatever unconsciously may motivate Palin's views, her views are supportive of Israel and its security. And for those Jews that have the same affection for Israel, better a Palin then the oh so sophisticated experts whose "peace process" fantasies have yet to be proved right once- and have damaged Israel always.
26  |  Ronald USA, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
This 'end of days' theology talk is a red herring. I am a Jew living in the Bible Belt and I have heard Xtians taking about it maybe 2 times in 30 years. Most of the time, its is liberal Jews who slice the baloney about it. Palin is under-rated and over-hated. Liberals can't stand her because they are jealous of her and fear that she may be able to enact her conservative policies. Jews should be thankful that Palin supports a strong Israel. With 1.4 billion Muslims at war with Israel, it doesn't make sense to turn away Xtian friends.
27  |  REX, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
Seems strange why anyone would mock the Jewish prophet Ezekiel. Russia, Iran, Turkey, Libya and Sudan/Ethiopia are all nations mentioned in that prophecy which states these nations will attack Israel and Israel will defeat all these armies. Ezekiel 38:5 Persia/Iran is leader of the pack shouting openingly now for the destruction of Israel. This prophecy bears truth!
28  |  MarcH, Baghdad, Iraq (serving w/the US Army), Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
Brilliant strategy Rosner. Let's slap the willing, enthusiastic, natural allies of the Jewish people in the face and "embrace" the Andrew Sullivans and the rest of the wimpy and/or demented Left. They will be there for Israel (not to mention the US) when the chips are down. We all know what a leaders Andy and his frineds have been in support of real efforts to eliminate the Iranian WMD threat.
29  |  Terry - Eilat, Israel, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
#21 Mike. True enough but McCain still ran a pretty lack-luster campaign. I liked your idea of Palin as a talk-radio host or even a conservative TV voice on Fox. I don't think she's a media phenomenon, however. I think she is genuinely popular which, of course, does not necessarily make her a qualified candidate. But, given a choice between Obama & Palin, I'll take Palin any day.
30  |  Lou Gutnicki, US, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
The issue actually is straightforward and simple - as life becomes untenable in the US due to administration policies (healthcare, huge tax increases, etc.), American Jews have an out that other Americans don't. Sarah Palin was simply referring to an obvious exodus based on America here and now, not a macabre end of days scenario. If conditions here deteriorate, Jews shouldn't be denied haven in Israel. Let's hope it doesn't come to that.
31  |  David, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
Palin is not really a subject worth writing about or discuss; my 12 y/o daughter is more educated and knows more about geography, world affiars and common sense than this Turkey. The real subject is McCain and his advisors and they deserve all the nonsense coming out of her "book" and more.

GO SARAH,PEOPLE SHE`S NOT A NUT,OUR BIBLE CLEARLY DIRECT US TO HELP THE JEWS,(remember bush stating israel was in unique position)THIS IS WHAT HE WAS REFERRING TO,HOWEVER ITS MY INTERPRETATION THAT THERE ARE 2 BATTLE`S COMING,1 AS UNTHINKABLE AS IT IS A CONV. 34  |  mick uk, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
sarah palin is right, and i think a great friend of israel, obama is not,how can you possibly talk to terrorist organizations, churchill warned the british government about hitler, and they laughed at him,but he was right, and did they not laugh at noah also, when building the ark,.the bible clearly talks about the islamic nations coming against israel psalm 83,which will usher in the coming of the jewish messiah.
35  |  Rooster Cogburn, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
#14 T.O. bob. Mildly amusing rhetoric. But, where's your reasoned argument? Point by point, what statements or conclusions in Cogburn's piece do you disagree with? Why? Instead of meaningless rhetoric, how about a logical rebuttal?
36  |  bernard Lindner, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
The Author of 25 seems to be putting thoughts and words in the head of Sarah Palin and other Christian friends of Israel. Sarah did _not say that "mass migration of Jews to Israel is about to take place". She correctly implied that many thousands of religious Jews will be returning to the land of Israel, and that they will want to build homes for themselves. Many more Jews will come because of perceived economic opportunity, and a sense of love and excitement about Israel. That is enough reason to rebuild more towns and villages in the land of Israel on Jewish-state-land, bought and paid for.
37  |  CARES1996, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
#2 hagee doesn`t advocate for destruction of ISRAEL but quite to contrary,if your info isn`t accurate, then it serve`s only your personal agenda,i`ve seen some of hagee`s books OUR GOD PROTECTS ISRAEL AND HE WILL NOT ALLOW ITS DESTRUCTION
38  |  Speakout, Norway, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
What is this foolish talk about "xians" - sounds more like a province in China; should like to know how you pronounce this; to devout Christians and accordingly supporters of the Jewish state of Israel it confirms the suspicion of a humanist liberal world wide plot to disconnect the sacred belief from its Jewish roots. You never say "Uish" and I for me would not even dream of holding Moslem faith up to similar ridicule (even if there are fair reasons to do so) - so pls. raise tone
39  |  Sonny, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
The Old Testament is full of “End of Days” prophesies. I for one believe every one of them and the book of Obadiah tells all of us what will happen to those nations around Israel when they eventually attack her. If your faith is not strong do not mock the faith of others. Sarah Palin’s faith could be a lesson to all you doubters. Israel needs the support of Christians as Christians need the understanding of the Jews. We may disagree on who the Messiah is but there is definitely a Messiah and he is a Jew. Baruch HaShem
40  |  Mike Feldman, Canada, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
#37. Before responding so matter of factly to my #2, it might have been a good idea for you to read my #4. When you say you've seen some of Hagee's books "OUR GOD PROTECTS ISRAEL AND HE WILL NOT ALLOW ITS DESTRUCTION". Do you mean that God will provide let's say an impenetrable missle shield, so that if a country, let's say Iran fires missles all day long at Tel Aviv, they will all be intercepted by a higher power? Or do you mean that Israel will utimately defeat Iran and Iran's allies and maybe still have one or two million citizens left to assure Israel's survival? Hagee might think that''s an acceptable outcome. I don't. Why not pray Iran doesn't get nukes and forget deterrants?
41  |  lydia, Wednesday Nov 25, 2009
The same Sarah Palin who credit her success to her African Witch Doctor after he blessed her and delivered her the Governorship of Alaska like he so ordained ? Palin, who asks that women be submissive to men, this guntooting, moose shooting, anti abortion, anti gay, this lipstick on a pig hockey mom. Scraping the barrel now are we? but then your lot would praise Malosovich if he said that mass murdering the Palestinians, to steal their land is kosher, even if your covenant with God says thou shalt not kill, steal, bear false witness, covet thy neighbors goods, nor covet his wife etc.

The Bible is clear, except for those who will deny it. The return of the Lord Jesus is to be at the end of the seven years tribulation. this is fixed and can not be changed. the start of the trib is unknown, we think ( based upon Scripture) that the rapture will be at the very first. Read the book of Daniel. The Jews will accept Him as Messiah when His feet touch the mount of olives and it will split into. Read the old testament. ( Old means " first"-----not outdated) Louis
44  |  Janice Texas, U.S.A, Thursday Nov 26, 2009
The Hebrew Bible tells the Isrealites that God will bring them back to their own land, and then He will bless them more, and restore them, and that the Muslim nation will be defeated. It tells us also that the looked-for Messiah will return. Is it so bad that we Christian Zionists, including Sarah Palin pray for the Jewish nation? We are on your side regardless of religious differences regarding Jesus Christ.. Did not God tell Abraham that He will bless those who bless Isreal and curse those who curse Isreal? (Gen 12:3) In praying and blessing Isreal, we bless ourselves too.

When it comes to Christian eschatology, there is the view communicated by Joel Robertson which is gathering steam, and the older view communicated by Joel Rosenberg. Personally, I lean towards Robertson. Now, when it comes to how the world outside of the Middle East relates to the Middle East, frankly I see more wisdom in going along with Buber than Qutb, and I am willing to say that Sarah Palin, even though she favours Rosenberg, would agree with going along with Buber, rather than Qutb. So, should I duck for cover? :-)
46  |  Ricardo - USA, Thursday Nov 26, 2009
This article is badly twisting the truth and actually exhibits an anti-muslim and anti-christian opinion. First of all John Hagee does not believe the Russian led arab assault on Israel will result in the end of the Jews. In Ezekial 39 the opposite is presented. G-d intervenes on behalf of Israel and destroys the Russian/muslim federation. An apology should be forthcoming from the author of this article. Also, Palin is right about the return of the Jews as the prophetic books reveal that not one will be left behind. The author' sarcasm has outdone him.
47  |  bannister USA, Thursday Nov 26, 2009
Palin meeting Billy Graham. Is like a Salad. One Vegetable meeting another. She is less intelligent than a cauliflower and Alzheimer has left Grahams brain smooth as an eggplant.
48  |  Shel Zahav in Jerusalem, Thursday Nov 26, 2009
Palin is exactly right. Every year thousands of American Jews return to Israel. The pace will pick up as the Obama-inspired Leftist anti-Semitism increases. I was just in America and see this trend very clearly.I cannot understand why any Jews would remain behind.
49  |  Shel Zahav in Jerusalem, Thursday Nov 26, 2009
Reply to #41 Lydia You come across as a loud-mouthed, anti-Semite.
50  |  lydia, Thursday Nov 26, 2009
44 The Jews of to-day are not the same Hebrews of the Bible nor the descendants of the Israelites. By no stretch of the imagination can they claim Biblical Law or Civil Law to any “Right to Return” to repossess Palestine land in the name of any God. Any such Biblical claim is clear disservice to the Bible, thus anti-Biblical, anti-Religious, anti-Truth and down right Immoral. Your lot of rabble rousers, even if they weren't false jews, observed the codicils attached to God's covenant made to Abraham with the same disrespect they treated the rulings of the UN, by violating them all.
51  |  Jonathon, Thursday Nov 26, 2009
If Palin became President, and the Christian Right, doomsday followers wanted to hasten the Armeggon, they would probably institgage and encouage anti Jewish sentiment and Jew hatred to get us to move to Israel. Palin is a danger, we don't need her to support Israel. We need unconditional supporters, that will give us respect and dignity in the world.
52  |  Desert Eagle, Ponderosa Pine, Thursday Nov 26, 2009
Ha, Ha. What a great conversation. Lydia is back and is 720 degrees wrong, as usual. The modern genetic studies show the Cohen lineage today is a specific haplotype that traces exactly back to the Temple priests at the time of King David. Read a little about the J2 lineage and you may see where Israel's natural allies live amongst the Kurds, Georgians, Syrians, Yemenites and others who spread from ancient Sumeria. For total fun imagine the return of the Annanaki. You would see EA shake his head at the fuss over the Temple Mount he built.

#50. I beg to differ. When I was a young boy, I had a neighbour who wouldn't let his son be my friend. The neighbour said "A Jew is a Jew". I never realized how smart he was until I started reading your posts. I'm not sure if you'll get this, because its pretty complicated for someone of your lot, but I'll try. It is not up to you to interpret the Bible, nor the relationship of G-d and the Jews. Heckers. lydia, understanding a weather report is probably a biggie for you. Do you think Tom's gone undercover--I haven't heard from him in a while. Maybe hi's trying to sneak a DNA sample from Hilary Clinton.
54  |  Chris, Dallas, Texas USA, Thursday Nov 26, 2009
The Christian Bible in both Testaments have stories and aspects to them which will continue to create lots of diversity in the Judeo-Christian family, both in terms of ethnicity and belief. What I find a bit strange in terms of the Christian Zionists is this idea that the EU is the "Revived Holy Roman Empire". That gang is about as holy as four month old, uncleaned underwear. Many in the Evangelical movement may be the products of the Reformation, but they may be living closer to some aspects of the medieval. Otoh, they have no control over the hand of the Lord. Amen.
55  |  Mark Meogrossi, Thursday Nov 26, 2009
This is ridiculous. Neither John Hagee nor I nor any other evangelical wants to see Israel destroyed to bring about the end of the world. For one thing, God SAVES Israel from her enemies - there is no destruction of Israel. For a second thing, I and millions of others like me support Israel for one major reason - NOT for blessings, NOT for the end of the world, NOT to usher in the Return of Christ but for one thing --- they are the blesssed people of GOD and we stand by them and with them, ALWAYS, and NO AGENDA EXCEPT THEIR SUCCESS & SAFETY!
