Rosner's Domain: Jewish record in Congress: 44 or 45?

Readers of this blog didn't have to wait for other publications in order to know that the next Congress will set a new record of jewish legislators. I wrote this two weeks ago.But I did miss one new Jewish House member, thus claiming the final number was 44, instead of 45 (13 Senators, 32 House members). The name of the member I forgot to include is Alan Grayson of Florida's 8th district, and I only realized I missed him after reading this article in the Forward.

So - it's 45, not 44.

Or is it? The Forward does not mention the fact that Rahm Emanuel, Obama's new best friend, will be leaving Congress. According to my calculations this means that we will not know if it's a 44 or a 45 until we have a replacement.

The up side, if it's 45: that's exactly the number I was predicting three days before (!) the election.

Here's an updated table of Jewish legislators. It's not yet final because the race between Coleman and Franken is still unresolved:

How many of these "Jewish " legislators live Jewish lives, are married to Jewish spouses or even raise their children as Jews? Very few indeed. I can only think of Joe Lieberman, who has been repudiated by the majority of American Jews who voted for Obama. Once again, more proof that the American Jewish community is not much of a community and is on the way to extinction.

If they were REAL Jews, they would not support the "liberal" policy of appeasement and immoral lifestyles. Most of them are a lie.

The history of the Jewish people would lead me to believe that it would be in their best interest to be Conserative in their beliefs and own self interest. Freedom, self reliance and liberty to name just a few. Why then are they mostly bleeding heart Liberals? Don't they care about their own self interest or the survival of Israel? Remember Hitler. He also snookered his people with sweet talk and great speeches. Thank God that America and England were of the mind set to intervene. We keep forgetting how close we came to speaking German. Today we are more interested in the war dividend being spent to buy more Democrat votes than to have a world view.

this is whats wrong in america, to many jews as you say in usa politics, these aipac traitors need to be arrested asap as enemy combatents to america for there rdical support of the zionist terror org of israel, these jews as u called them, are not hebrew, follow the talmud, not the torah and are basicly a bunch of commies, they support the illeagals running into america, but take our tax dollars to fund the aparthide actions of israel, they should be looked into for taking apiac money, trips to israel and should be held as spies along with bolton, wolferitz, fieth pearl and emanuel

How many Jews were in the reichsstag a few years before hitler yimach shemo came to power? Dont get so excited atthe number of amerikkkans of mosaic ancestry in the congress. They dont do anything positive for Jews.

What do these people actually stand for? I agree with Hugh, MLH and JS. Joe Lieberman is the only one who stood up to prevent a disastrous surrender of the US in Iraq.

So what, does Mr Rosner have a problem with this? My business here in Italy has a 50-50 situation,50% Jewish and 50% Catholic. Out of 60 million Italians only about 35,000 are Jewish. I am proud to be Jewish and I must say that in America the next President could be Jewish.

Anne Schwartz: Dennis Ross is a disaster! It has been reported that he made the following statements in effect: "Israel must give up the Golan Heights to Syria. Syria has been 'quiet' quietest border, etc., etc. God forbid Israel should be pressured to sacrifice Har Golan. Syrian barbarians harbor hamas/hizbullah with arms supplies; they are in a state of war with Israel and demand UNCONDITIONAL...NO COMPROMISE 'RETURN' OF GOLAN. Israel's main water supply emanates from the Golan. For a piece of useless paper, Israel should sacrifice the Golan's vantage from above the Galilee for artillary tank fire!!
