While it's interesting to note that Obama's approval rating in Iowa is now less than 50% - it's also interesting to see that the only area for which he gets the better mark is "relations with other countries". Take a look:

Note that relations with other countries is the least measurable item on the poll, and by far the least important question asked. Health Care Reform and the deficit numbers are in the low 30's. Managing the economy barely over 40%, management of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan less than 40%. For a President in his first year in office, these are disasterous numbers. All that's left is to hope that other countries like the US. Nixon went to China when the impeachment process was under way. Obama has travelled abroad more than any President in his first year. Sooner or later, you have to come home and face the music.

Also, "other countries" are very far away when you're looking at the world from Iowa.

Sally - U.S.A.: Daran, I'm not trying to double team against you with Mike, but I do want to bring up couple of points with you & this seems like a good time. Many times you ask people questions or their opinion & most of the time, they answer you. But when the shoe is on the other foot, you don't. Second, you misstate facts & will not admit to it. Everyone makes fact misstakes; I know I have. But you insist on agruing facts when there is nothing to argue. In my opinion, it doesn't show cleverness; it just shows an inability to engage in discussion. If you are a friend of Israel, shouldn't that be your concern
