Olmert's undeserving government
Behold. The PM who failed in the war is evading responsibility. Never has the State of Israel decided to go to war with such vast national and international support, including the rallying of the opposition to push back the attacks on Israel in the international sphere. Never has the State of Israel gone to war while having such a big upper hand on the opponents it faced. Not since the War of Independence has the government had so much time to bring such a decisive ruling on what is to transpire in the battlefield. However, even with such advantages, and as pointed out by the Winograd Committee, it is the first war initiated by Israel that it did not win. The education plan: better educators
Teachers' salaries in Israel should increase significantly. However, if we don't change the way the education system is managed, even a substantial addition to the budget, as was done in the early 1990s, would not help. The percentage of children that adequately passed the IDF reading test has dropped gradually but continuously from 60% in 1985 to 32% in 2002. This happened despite billion shekel investments in education. The severe crisis in the education system does not derive first and foremost from a lack of resources but from the absence of a clear vision, defined and specified goals and courageous leadership. Israel invests in education as a commodity more than most countries and even the amount of investment per student is at a respectable number The Education Plan: the best educatorsImproving the education system depends first and foremost on the educator in the classroom, mainly in the first few years where a pupil's learning skills are influenced and shaped. Rabin and JerusalemIt was only natural that when Rabin introduced his government to the Knesset on July 13, 1992, he said, "Unified Jerusalem was and will forever be the capital of the people of Israel on Israeli sovereignty." Rabin and Jerusalem
Yitzhak Rabin's assassin Yigal Amir must never go free. He must remain in prison for the rest of his life. Lessons for our NationWe face existential troubles, but nonetheless, it appears as though the ability to perceive reality as it is, all that it entails, and to act in order to distance danger and overcome it, is an ability that the Jewish people lack. A mandate for changeStop making unilateral concessions; start accelerating economic reforms. Replace the government nowIsrael has already made two mistakes in the past seven years by unilaterally withdrawing from Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. This unilateral policy has distanced us from peace instead of bringing us closer to it. Aliya via the internet - a visit to Nefesh B'NefeshWe must take care that the vast majority of Israeli residents is Jewish, and this must be without wronging the country's minorities. |
