As you can see from the photos - I'm being quite literal. Today was the first day of Machane Yehuda's annual Kaparot Market. Every year, Jerusalem's central market hosts this temporary slaughterhouse where those that follow the Kaparot ritual can go and kill them some chickens.

Penelope: Great post! Great contest! A VIP weekend in Trieste, Italy? I am SO there!
pea: I enjoyed the interplay between Vicki and her husband. The actual story took second place to that. I love Jewlicious and am looking forward to more from Vicki!
USA: Trainers consulted with the Jewish Cultural Center and they Ok'd it? What's wrong with their Jewish Cultural Center. I find all the humor implied here distasteful including using Giraffes instead or that this might be OK'd in the US because we never had pogroms. This is not humor and is anti-Semitic wherever it is in the world. It's not funny in any form. Thank G-d Jews have left Russia and to the author of this article thank you for writing it, but don't try so hard to be apologetic by adding humor to what you know is downright disgusting.
