Double Standard Watch: Can a state be built on a pack of lies? Posted by Alan M. Dershowitz
Comments: 77
The so-called "spiritual" leader of Hamas has ordered that Palestinian children are not to be taught about the Holocaust. Younis al-Astal - who is about as spiritual as Al Capone - has declared that the United Nations' proposal to include Holocaust education in a course on human rights would constitute a "war crime." It would be "marketing a lie and spreading it," he said. Instead, he would have Palestinian children learn only about the so-called crimes of the Israeli occupation and the self-inflicted wound that Palestinians call the "nakba." I am not so sure I would trust the United Nations, and especially its Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) to teach anything relating to Jews, Israel or the Holocaust. That agency has been part of the problem, not the solution, by perpetuating the refugee status of Palestinians who could have been integrated into the Palestinian mainstream over the past sixty years. By making an industry out of their permanent status as refugees, UNRWA has made peace more difficult and hatred more acceptable. The agency has turned a blind eye to Hamas terrorists who routinely used UNRWA facilities as launching sites for rockets. It has protected terrorists. It has sought to legitimate Hamas as a social service agency rather than condemn it as a fascist group of anti-Semites who employ violence in the name of Muhammad. Now, perhaps in an effort to appear balanced, UNRWA has agreed to provide basic information about the Holocaust to eighth grade students. These would be the only Palestinian students who learn about the murder of six million Jews at the hands of Hitler, since the Palestinian Authority has banned the teaching of the Holocaust to students in the West Bank. It is unlikely that the UNRWA educational unit would include factual information about the leader of the Palestinians during the Second World War, Haj al-Husseini (the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem) and his active role in the Holocaust when he lived in Berlin as a guest of Adolph Hitler. But even a sanitized, watered down account of the Holocaust is too much for the Hamas leadership, which does not believe in history, but rather in propaga that serves the goals of the terrorist organization. In the end, UNRWA will buckle under Hamas pressure, as it always does. Even if a compromise were to be reached, it might be worse than the current situation, in which nothing is taught. There is absolutely no way in which Hamas would ever allow any kind of objective analysis of the Holocaust to be taught to their students. The essence of Hamas "education" is brainwashing and the shutting down of any marketplace of ideas. What Hamas fears most is truth, science, history and objectivity. A state built on lies cannot long endure, unless it is an entirely totalitarian state such as North Korea, which denies its citizens access to any alternative information or point of view. Even Iran cannot stop ideas from filtering through its network of censors. Nor can China or Venezuela. But Hamas can and does impose total censorship over those it controls. If it were to become the government of a Palestinian state, its control over the minds and actions of its citizens would become even more total. The sad reality is that totalitarian censorship -provided it is completely totalitarian - really does work. The people of Gaza really believe that the Holocaust never occurred. They really believe that firing rockets at schoolchildren is God's will. They really believe that Jews are a combination of the devil, monkeys, pigs and vermin. They really believe that Jews control the world and that US President Barack Obama is a puppet whose strings are pulled by hook-nosed "Yids." They really believe that Israel doesn't want peace and seeks to destroy the Islamic world and its holy places. It is difficult to build an enduring peace on such a structure of lies. That is why the Oslo Accords, and other peace agreements between Israel and the Palestinians, insisted that the Palestinians stop teaching their children to hate, stop instructing their teachers to lie and stop inciting violence against the Jews. In this respect, the Palestinian leadership, both in Gaza and the West Bank, has been an utter failure. Not much can be expected from the Hamas leadership, but even the Palestinian Authority has failed miserably in this regard. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas received his PhD for a thesis that denied the Holocaust. He claims to have changed his views, but is still unwilling to teach his students the true history of World War II. Israel, on the other hand, has a free and open press in which the Palestinian narrative is presented honestly and fully - indeed sometimes more favorably to the Palestinians than is warranted by the facts. Israeli books present varying accounts of the conflict and teachers may supplement the texts. Some schools and teachers obviously present biased views, but students are free to subject their teacher's biases to the open marketplace of ideas. It should come as no surprise therefore that far more Israelis than Palestinians favor a compromise peace. The two-state solution cannot be built on lies. The truth, it turns out, is good for peace. The reality of the Holocaust is an important aspect of truth, regardless of what Hamas may say.

Why do you still support Obama? Everything about his policy towards Israel is the opposite of what you write about. Did you hear what he said about Islam at his Ramadan breakfast? How can you support a man that lies this much, that misrepresents & distorts, or worse, is so woefully ignorant?

There is historical evidence that a state can be built on terror and on a pack of lies. Just remember Hitlers Germany, Stalins Sovietunion, Saddams Iraq, Qaddafys Lybia and many other dictatorships. The so called Palestinians invented them selves as a nation and they want to build a terror state on the ruins of Israel with lies. Holocaust denial is part of the Palestinian lies. It justifies terror and destruction of Israel. Like Goebbels invented the Germanic master race, Hamas and Fatah invented the Plaestinians who heve right to Eretz Israel. Wrong, Eretz Israel belongs to People of Israel!

Mr. Dershowitz, like other liberals states what they percieve a given audience wants to hear. Nothing to do with you personally, he doesn't care about you personally but he must maintain his Jewish persona. Obama has become his new messiah.

Alan, you are correct, a viable state cannot be built on lies. It will not last. Hamas will fall eventually, but not before is does more damage to Israel and its own people. Another state being built on lies is Israel, that is, if you believe the rhetoric you read in these feedback columns and blogs. Many Israeli and even American Jews are believing the extreme rhetoric of the Right, which is built on lies and distortion. Look at the diatribes directed thoward you, some even questioning your loyalty to the Jewish people. Where can we find truth nowadays? It's a rare commodity.

Other things Hamas would ban from their curriculum:
1. The Jewish "NAKBA " -how Rome stole the land fromthe Jews by war in the 1st+2nd centuries C.E. -or if taught- the claim would be made that todays's Israeli Jews are not descended from those ancient Jews -hen having zero "claims" on this land.
2. Teaching the Pal kids the Book Of Daniel -where at its end the Angel Gabriel reveals the Sar Hagadol prophecy to Daniel (1100 years before Mohamed) ---where at the END TIME the Jews are SAVED from their atacking enemies (saved IN THEIR HOMELAND with a re-built Temple!), saved by
MICHAEL .

Last time I checked, Mr. Dershowitz was advocating and promoting a "Palestinian state", based on the "two-state solution" fantasy. So what is he really saying now? That he's finally opened his eyes and has seen the light -- that the "Palestinian state" is actually a bad and dangerous concept that must be vigorously opposed? Or is this just a wimpy plea to the Arabs to be a liberal like him -- to reject Hamas and admit the Holocaust, so deluded Jews can continue to believe in a "compromise peace"? If it's the latter case (which I suspect), then he's learned nothing and knows nothing.

I believe that Palestinians should learn the Jewish perspective on the Holocaust and that Israelis should learn the Palestinian perspective on the Nakba (the "catastrophe" experienced by Palestinians in 1948). But when in the minister of education in the Kadima government started to allow Palestinian textbooks in Israel describe the events of 1948 as a "catastrophe" for the Palestinians, there was a hue and a cry from Israeli Jews. I believe the minister of education in the current Likud government has now taken Nakba studies out of the curriculum. Is there no symmetry here?

I beg to differ. Just look at all of the many Islamic Republics. How long will they survive may be a questuin, but all are based on the Koran. One need not limit the review to the Middle East, it exists in Asia as well, and is aclear and present damger elsewhere. But all Liberals keep spouting that we are not at war with Islam. The difference between a moderate and a fundamentalist is that the first says Surrender Or Die, the second says Surrender AND Die.

Daniel -Atlanta. "Israel built on lies?" Here is a small nation being threatend every day by enemies who want to destroy Israel by any viscious means. Its amazing to me how the Israeli people function normally..going to work or to the beach. Any seceond, at any moment an attack could occur from the Jihadi monsters all over Arabia. Yes, the "Right" extremist are paranoid. But to me that's understandable. You say..the "Right is built on lies and distortion".You're wrong..they know their enemy and their dire objectives. "Hear oh Israel"..keep on alert! Right or Left..who cares about Daniel.

A covenant breaker whose word is worth nothing and who is slight of hand with finances can build a kingdom on a pack of lies, but it will come to ruin because the liar hates the ground that his flattering dupes walk on, so the resulting spirit of variance eventually destroysTHE KINGDOM. [Proverbs 26:28] That will not only destroy Palestine, but it will also be the undoing of Iran & Saudi Arabia as well. Saddam Hussein was the perfect example of the ''little horn'' of the Book of Daniel. Gentile horns scatter the Jews, so GOD sends Jewish carpenters to build and to throw the gentile horns out.

And are Israeli children taught about the Palestinian Nakhba? Are they taught about White Phosphorous attacks on civillians? How about the denial of basic rights for over 10000 Palestinians languishing in Israeli prisons without trial? How about the constant agitation in America for war with Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Gaza, West Bank? How about the continuing illegal occupation of the West Bank? How about Israeli apartheid in the West Bank? How about the destruction of holy cities in Iraq: Najaf, Fallujah? Shall I go on?

Double Standard Watch? What an appropriate title for anything Alan Dershowitz invents. My all time favorite was the article two weeks ago explaining how the native people of Palestine were responsible for Nazi ethnic cleansing and deserved the same fate. No one is better qualified to fabricate double standards than Dershowitz. Sadly he is typical of a failing legal system. Truth and history mean nothing to Dershowitz, just fabricate the propaganda to support your position and the weak minded who share the same goals will follow and cheer with no regard to the consequences will follow.

Reply to Terry (# 1) : Very good post. Dershowitz is a proud Jew - a brave and eloquent defender of Israel. Believe me, there are very few in the Diaspora like him. Unfortunately, however, he has decided to be deaf, dumb., and blind when it comes to Obama. Why ? I don't know - his explanations are unconvincing - reading his explanations, it seems as if he himself secretly agrees with his critics. My educated guess ( based on my own family background) is that it is very difficult for U.S. Jews to break with the Democratic party - their allegiance is almost Moonie like. Sad.

Obama is trying to respect his heritage when he bows to Muslims and lies about historic Islamic contributions to United States science and politics. Hamas believes that in order to promote Islam, Islam gives them a right to lie to the world or to their own people. This includes Holocaust denial. Thus, Obama is a muslim at least in his own mind. Obama will only excerbate the turmoil in the Middle East. Time for prayer.

Daniel - Atlanta #4: I commend to you one of Professor Dershowitz's later books, "The Case For Peace." In it you will find a veritable deluge of rhetorical condemnations of his Rightist foes. He charges that we are "radical naysayers, pro-Israel extremists who oppose compromise, Jewish hatemongers; extremists...who chose land over life," etc. The point is, Professor Dershowitz has been promoting this utopian scheme of a new Muslim (no question, terror) state in Israel's historic and strategic heartland. Today he asks, how can such a state be built on a pack of lies? Good question.

A Palestinian state cannot be built on the 'Nakba' narrative lies, or the Hamas-Fatah terrorist shifting sands. Israelis must pursue a peace process that is in their best interest, which may not include the acceptance of a two state solution. Palestinians are adept at ginning up the Nakba as a fundraising apparatus. It has been quite effective in garnering support for their 'struggle' against Israel, and in particular, the Israel Defense Forces. The truth is, the Arabs do not desire peace with Israel; the Palestinians remain useful and pathetic pawns for sabotage of peace initiatives.

Daniel, coming from somewhere in outer space, I will argue that Hamas will always be around because survival is the nature of thugs. They will kill off anyone that does not agree with their hard line jihady vision of destroying Israel and are encouraged by "negotiation" itself. So the west and Israeli governments have done the people of Israel a huge disservice by assuming Hamas is remotely reasonable. It is not. All of Islam is not, and it is past time we all face that fact and acted in our best interest, that will be better for Palestinians than their own barbaric leadership.

However as you well know our history started way before the Holocaust.-about 3400 years before.
Jews have only one little country.Your intelligent and dynamic energies need to be almost all directed for Israel to be safe. For that will really be what you will be remembered for.

I sent the following to UNRWA:
I read an article posted today on the website of the JTA titled “Hamas rips U.N. for teaching the Holocaust." The article was ambiguous about UNRWA’s stance on the topic of Holocaust education to Palestinian Arab teenagers. UNRWA should feel no shame in contradicting those that deny the history of the Holocaust. UNRWA can feel confident that it is operating within the framework of the UN General Assembly’s resolution (A/RES/60/7) which calls for condemnation of Holocaust denial.

Entire arab culture can be epitomized by Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves and the flying carpets – all fantasy and fallacy: koran claims Moses & Jesus were muslim, though they both lives & died long before advent of islam; mohammed’s Treaty of Hudaybiya – a deliberately false peace treaty that arafat hoped to emulate; Israel assassinated arafat because they don’t want to admit the truth that he more likely died of complications from AIDS; Jerusalem is their 3rd holiest city although koran never once mentions it by name. The teach lies, they believe lies and they spread lies – Holocaust never happened. Ahmadinejad’s claim there are no homosexuals in Iran. The latest lie, contrary to all medical data, that IDF kill Palestinians to harvest their organs. With such an appalling track record of lies, how can anyone expect they would honor any peace treaty with Israel?

Ok, maybe the 20th century Shoah cannot be pushed as an educational material to the Arabs. To a certain extent one can understand that because it did not happen in their backwards. But to completely disregard the pogroms, incitation to violence and mistreatment of Jewish people in the Arab world since the dawn of Islam is a case of historical blunder. Not reviewing the history of Jewry in Arab lands is denying history itself. Most Arabs are "ahistorical" . There was no history before islam and after it. Just islam. How can anyone discuss the Holocaust when their own history is misconstrued.

Why do so many people accept a lie rather than truth? Why do many say the Bible (Tanakh) doesn't really mean what it says? To say parts of the Bible are not true is the old lie of the serpent! (everyone should read the Quran to see what I mean). In saying parts of the Bible (Tanakh) are not true, they deny the history of the people of Israel. Israel is not a nation, but a family descended from a man named Jacob. The Tanakh is the only book in the world that teaches a value in truth and real love, to hate evil and love good. It is the true history of Israel. But some nations are built on lies!

I don't know what the big deal is now about Hamas and Israel. Liberal Jews and their partners in crime in the leftist Democrat Party are totally based on decades of lies and deceit. It is a little late for Alan to be pointing the fingers at Arabs. Democrats are no better than gangsters or terrorists. Professor Dershowitz, you supported Obama and recommended him before the 2008 presidential election. As a well known jewish author and a trusted jewish spokesperson a large number of jews cast their vote for Obama based on your recommendation. As Obama has shown over the past nine months, his true nature and his policies have been anti-Israel. I hope you don't continue to blindly throw your support behind Obama and the democratic party. For Israel to survive these difficult times it will be necessary for more american jews to leave the democratic party and vote republican.

Mr Dershowitz is right, you can't have a state built on lies. The unfortunate fact, that is not so far from what Israel was able to do and maintain for 62 years or so. Mr Dershowitz and his likes, of Israel apologists should take a step back, and stop inciting animosity and hatred in the region and the world toward the Jewish faith due the crimes that Israel have been committing against the Palestinian people. If Mr Dershowitz, care so much about what have happened to the Jewish people, by the hands of the Europeans( Germans) He should direct hate policy there, or change himself.

Mr Dershowitz, can't fall very far from the character of his profession. He is a lawyer, for that, he speaks from both sides of his mouth, and he can turn things around, according to who is paying more. The unfortunate thing for you Mr Dershowitz, that you are too exposed, because you have faked your way too many times . Please stop using the On/ off button of your biased judgment to appease your Jewishness, and your fake support of Israel. If you wish to appear as an educated judge of this conflict learn to be honest first, then stick to the facts. Spreading hate, is not a virtue.

To all those attacking Mr. Dershowitz and/or saying something negative/against Israel (whatever you think about it), why not comment on the substance of his article or argument? Which is that there is no partner for peace on the opposite side of Israel. If all Palestinian children are taught in schools is that Israelis/Jews are evil vermin that somehow run the world and that if you want to make peace with them you are a traitor, how is that going to foster any will to make the kinds of compromises necessary for peace?! Israel has shown numerous times its willingness to make peace...

This great article is about UNRWA. It serves only Palestinians--all other refugees are served by UNHCR, a legitimate refugee agency. It classifies as refugee the original 600,000 refugees plus all their descendants--now 4 million haters of Israel who want the "right of return." (A refugee is the person who flees.) It refuses to encourage settlement of its wards in third countries and aids them as long as they hold out to become a 5th column in Israel. It is the financier of PAL intransigeance and terrorism. There can be no peace as long as it exists. It is funded by the US and the EU.

Dear Mr Alan Dershowitz, I always had a similar stance to yours in this issue: being pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel, and thinking of a two State solution living side by side in Peace. I have come to realize that this is a hopeless project; it is obvious that a Palestinian State will become Terroristan the minute is created. Israel should preserve what territory it needs for defense and then disengage from the West Bank like it did with Gaza. Unilaterally. Eventually, Jordan will be forced to absorb most of the West Bank and Egypt Gaza, whether they want it or not.

"Holocaust Education" for the Arabs, another meaningless red herring from Dershowitz who never talks about the real issues confronting Israel: Obama's Arabism, his interference in the internal affairs of Israel, and the obstacles he's thrown in the path of Israel's right to defend itself against Iran's nuclear threat. I'm sure that's no accident because if Dershowitz did speak up about those matters he'd lose what little credibility he has left as a "defender of Israel."

To #29 Jeff from Florida. Can you point to me any achievement during the eight years of the Bush administration that indicates things are better for Israel? During that time of Republican rule, Hamas and Hizbollah matured in power, Hamas took over Gaza, Hizbollah subdued southern Lebanon, Iran continued to support terrorists and built its nuclear capability, North Korea almost helped Syria go nuclear, and the world's public opinion concerning Israel went into the tank with America's diminished standing. The American military was hobbled. How is that Republican record a better choice for Jews?

The UN task force on Holocaust education printed this message on their website: "With great concern, the ITF Chair has become aware of recent statements made by members of Hamas regarding efforts of the United Nations to introduce education about the Holocaust into the Gaza school system." The message then goes into how great the task force is at great length. It would have been nice if they condemned Hamas unambiguously.

Yes, A country, a civilization, a religion can be built on a pack of lies. Christianity (Islam) is just such an example, Jesus never existed, the New Testament is fiction, christian interpretation of the hebrew bible is fiction. But Mr. Dershowitz if be lies or truth or half-truths the reality is that people do not care, they will hate and kill and exterminate and war for the most absurd beliefs and understandings. The only thing that protects people from being massacred is their ability the fight and defend themselves, that is the human condition.

I would be laughing at this article if I wasn't crying. The terrorist state of Israel parades around the world as a legitimate government, occupying Palestinian land illegaly, while Hamas, who were elected by the people of Palestine are called terrorists.and must be beaten and starved into submission. Palestinians have been forced out of their homes at gunpoint since 1948. The Palestinians have been treated like animals since the Balfour declaration, a declaration that set the region down a bloody staircase to hell, when one people promised a second people the land of a third people.

Allen Dershowitz speaks of Palestinian lies. But fails to mention Israeli lies. Israel has been following a Zionist policy of Arab expulsion and ethnic cleansing in Gaza & West Bank while seeking a Greater israel. Destroying homes, businesses, denying medical and education facilities to be attended. South African type Aprathied of Arabs has been the policy since the 1930's and prior if anyone is really interested in truth to the extent possible. Israel has lost any moral authority it once had.

Question for No. 13: Can you produce a single fact to support this litany of cliches about Israel? Especially laughable is the accusation of Israel 'attacking' Palestinians with 'white phospherous'. White phosherous is not a weapon. It used in battle to illuminate targets so you can aim better, thereby reducing civilian casualties. As far as the alleged mistreatment of Palestinians prisoners goes, just ask ask any Arab whether they would prefer to be an Israeli jail or an Arab one. In a rare moment of candor, they might admit their preference.

Younis al-Astal recognizes that the single greatest threat to Islamic militancy is Israel. This is an existential threat. If Israel is not stopped it could free the jewish-arab-egyptians in palestine and create a movement capable of collasping Islamic militancy and replacing it with a just society. The hunger for justice in these totalitarian regimes is so great that the spark of Israeli freedom would snowball into an avalanche. Islamic militancy would be swept away in the process. That is why Abbas, Fatah, and Hamas rejoice in their hearts when they hear Israel speak against peace with arabs.

The Israeli willingness to compromise has only encouraged its enemies, never appeased. And Arabs are behaving completely normally in this respect. Our wishes cannot change this simple and normal human psychology. It is either Israel, or the Arab Palestine. No compromise is possible.

To William Ennis of Toronto-where do you get the moral aurhority to accuse Israel of wrongdoing? You live in Ontario which is occupied Intuit land. The Intuits had all of northern Canada taken from them at gunpoint and you live in a settlement called Toronto which was built on Intuit land. Have you vacated your lovely home, built on stolen land? I doubt it. Jews are the "native" people of Israel. You are a settler who resides on occupied Intuit territory. Take a look in the mirror and you will see a hypocrite.

States often are built on lies - or, at least, on myths. Eventually those myths are dispelled by people known today as "revisionist historians." Then a national debat takes place, often saturated with invectives. This has happened in lots of countries, including the United States and Israel. There is no reason for the Palestinian state to be an exception from this rule. But having the state is the necessary condtion to discuss and dispell the lies, or as some people call them, myths of creation.

A state built on Lies.
Israel the ancestral home of Blond headed Blue eyed Polish and Russian Jews who were the very same ones who wiped out the Canaanites and had a right to now displace the Arabs who have lived there for a thousand years.
Now when you lie it has to be a very big lie repeated over and over.

Vladimir: Your 'rebuttal' speaks well of the lack of any solid counter argument that could be argued by Israel, and to your own state of maturity and mind, or lack thereof. Israeli lies have been exposed to the world, and so has Israeli atrocities. The world will react violently the next time Israeli hubris launches an attack against the innocents of occupied Palestine. Au revoir.

It is true that are few supporters of israel like Dershowitz, however, Mr. Dershowirtz, explain why you support Obama. This president has been paling with anti semites and Jew and Israel haters like Wright, Ayres, Farakhan, Dhorn, etc. He has been indoctrinated and brainwashed to hate us. All of his policies are contradictory of books you wrote supporting Israel. Obama and his so called Jewish phonies namley Geithner, Emanuel, Axelrod, Sumners, and others are acting against the best interets of Israel.

While Dershowitz is a liberal Democrat he does undrestand the problem with giving statehood to an entitiy built on lies. How could Hamastan communicate with Israel when it refuses to educate the children about the Jewish Holocaust while brainwashing them to see the Jews as Nazis?
Bibi asked the PA to accept that Israel is a Jewish state .He was right to do so because Israel has no business pushing the idea of a Palestinian state built on lies and a thirst to kill the Jews.

Brilliant article Alan. We, the Jewish people, know how incitement obliterated 6 million of us. Arabs have adopted the worst themes of anti-Semitic fabrications and have been using them to poison the minds of their people for years. It is extremely disturbing to see the ease with which some of the comment writers here stick to blatant lies concerning Israel by using "apartheid" or "ehnic cleansing" when even a superficial examination would reveal that there is not even a glimmer of similarity between those and what is really happening in Israel. Anti Semitism is certainly alive.

You are absolutely correct in all you say and especially that a realistic situation cannot be built on lies. There is one thing that recent events have brought to mind, and that is, that while the holocaust should be remembered, the victims honoured and mourned, it should not be given a status regarding the legitimacy of Israel above the true legitimacy of Israel, which goes back over 3500 years. Israel was established in accordance with a promise given to Abraham by God, according to scriptures which are by and large accepted by all the parties to this situation. Israel is no new thing.

Alan Dershowitz is spot on. The Israel haters are so degraded by their anti-Zionist bigotry that they find the Nazi sympathies of Hamas totally unremarkable. None has commented on it here. They can delude themselves that their anti-Israeli invective is based on libral, humanitarian concerns, but yet again they expose their innate anti-semitism by branding Dershowitz and the state of Israel as beyond the pale, ie, the antithesis the moral world-view that they themselves hold - and one in which lying about, or denigrating the Holocaust is no longer the preserve of the European extreme right.

To #39 Daniel- Atlanta. American jews have historically supported the democratic party because of its fight for civil rights, including gay rights, prochoice, and support for small business. But now the situation has changed. A democratic president is now anti-Israel. The only mechanism for american jews to have a say in this matter is to change parties and show Obama and his party that the jews are willing to change parties to support Israel. American jews will need to vote predominantly republican to send a message to Obama that american jews will not accept an anti-Israel president.

Every day the Evil rises to nauseate you. Muslims now practice replacement theology. They feel that Mohammed has given them the Right to usurp and convert every man, woman and child to Islam.
Israel stands in their way to achieve Islamic paradise.
The replacement theology Muslims preach has but one objective and that is the conversion of each and every Jew to Islam.
The State of Israel is the curse that emanate from their lips. The time is coming when both the Left and the Right will have no corner to turn to escape the juggernauth that anti- semitism and anti- nationalism weaves for all.

Obama is not anti-semitic. He merely represents US interests in this region, which is to say he is seeking to engineer a US dependence. A Palestinian State with an Israeli settlement freeze will force Israeli dependence upon the US. An economically cripples nuclear armed Iran is the perfect goad to gather intransigent Arab states under the US umbrella. If Arabs do not cooperate the new state could begin courting Hezbollah and start actively undermining Jordanian or Egyptian stability. America is now used to American casualties and could tolerate the lose of a few US servicemen.

The Arabs will never willingly respect the tragedy of the Holocaust. The world holds Israel to standards that the Arabs can't and won't achieve. It is important for educated people to point out what the mass media refuses to admit to-the Arabs put themselves in bad situations, repeatedly. They have mafia-style leaders who are violent and manipulative. Israel has a right to contend with these people.

Nakba
Many writers above have commented about teaching Israelis about the so-called "Nakba". Here's the lowdown: 1. The Jews accepted the UN Resolution of November 1947. The Arabs rejected what would have been a "two state solution" 2.Israel was declaed a State in May 1948. 3. Seven Arab nations plus the indigent Arasb people attacked Israel with the avowed declaration of driving the Jews into the sea. Had they won the war, there would have been a genocide just 4 years after the Holocaust. 4. No western nantion gave material aid to Israelin the War. 4. Israel defeated the Arabs. Go study!

What people are failing to realize is that the Nakba (or catastrophe) is the Palestinian Arabs yearly marking of their failure to destroy and kill all the Jews. I don't think that is worthy of being taught to anyone. That is the equivilant of the Germans mar |
